62 Thoughts on The Bold Type Pilot

Freeform released new series called “The Bold Type.” I’m really excited to see where this show goes since it’s all about females in the work place. Plus, it takes place in NYC, which I’ve always dreamed on working in. Here are some of my thoughts as I watched the show.

  1. Hmmm why are they in ball gowns?
  2. That subway station is pretty empty…
  3. Ok I know Subways are loud, but I’m pretty sure screaming would still freak people out.
  4. Oh, back in time ok…
  5. I dream of having a big moment in NYC someday
  6. What in the world is this closet? Why doesn’t my office have a major closet.
  7. Yay! She’s a Social Media Director. Maybe I will learn something.
  8. Do people actually still get coffee for people? This has never been a thing in my life.
  9. She made it to the big kids table. How lucky!
  10. Do career women in NYC really wear 4” heels?
  11. Do companies actually spend time so much time talking about social issues?
  12. Wait, what is this magazine about?
  13. Oh, they are a magazine about empowering women with sex?
  14. Yes! Making out on the elevator. I want that in life!
  15. And they are back in the closet. Why do I not have a work closet to hang out in?
  16. I like how these women with serious ambition are just chilling in a closet…
  17. Awkward bedroom scene turns about work, and then turns back to sex. Ok.
  18. Are managers really that hardcore? I’ve never had a conversation that scary with my manager.
  19. What someone who isn’t on social media? That’s questionable.
  20. How to stalk you unstalkable ex… I’d read that.
  21. I see this is going to be a show that covers all social issues. We’ll see how I feel about that. Why does Freeform insist on being the voice for everyone on every show?
  22. I wouldn’t mind taking my bra off at work.
  23. Sexting during work… That’s bold
  24. Yes. Please tell me how to stalk someone not on social media. You can probably find out some really awesome stuff!
  25. Driving slowly past someone’s house… I’m not sure what you can even tell from that.
  26. Also, who in the world is driving them? Does he drive them to get stories?
  27. How come the other two girls don’t have better things to do then help their friend with a story?
  28. Oh no, her ex is walking up. What good does this do for her story?
  29. Her story mildly feels like How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days…
  30. Oh crap… am I on the old end of how relationships work or the new end?
  31. Do girls really wear crop tops to work in NYC?
  32. And the girls are playing with sex toys at work. I love it in shows when they say they are so busy but then screwing around 75% of the time.
  33. Why does my job never take me to fancy parties?
  34. Also, I need a hot wingman when I go to parties. Oh wait, I never go to parties.
  35. Cool, she’s stealing underwear from work. That’s not awkward at all.
  36. What kind of guy breaks up with a girl on her birthday on the way to a weekend trip?
  37. Hmmm I never thought of turning to a magazine for advice. New goals.
  38. What do you do when your friend calls you drunk? Probably not hang up on her to go have sex…
  39. There’s nothing like taking apart vibrators to smuggle into your county.
  40. When your friend calls and accidentally interrupts a personal, maybe romantic conversation. I’m feeling confused by this conversation.
  41. Darn, I really thought they were going to have a lesbian moment.
  42. And now they are stalking their friend. There is nothing like discovering your friend is dating a coworker (I have no idea what his job is or how high up he is.)
  43. Ok, she’s having sex with Richard Hunter and he’s a board member.
  44. She has real feelings for him and her friends don’t understand. That’s quite a fight.
  45. I get the whole feminism thing, but is there really anything we can do about other countries and their anti-feminist policies. I tend to agree with Lauren that Kat could potentially hurt Adena more than help her. Liberal media only works in the US.
  46. Note to self… Don’t encourage women from repressed countries to smuggle in contraband.
  47. Nothing fixes life like posting a cat meme.
  48. Oh, this is how they figure out that it’s a good idea to scream at a Subway station.
  49. Again with the closet. I need a closet to hang out in….
  50. I have a feeling all the good conversations are going to happen in the closet.
  51. Wow, two parties in one episode, this is why I should be living the NYC life.
  52. So her friends find out she’s dating this board member and now she suddenly knows what she wants. That escalated quickly.
  53. They really think there magazine has a lot of power over women. Do people even read magazines anymore?
  54. I wonder how much they had to pay Demi Lovato be to on their cover.
  55. This is an inspiring speech and I think it’s good to note. “And I want to make sure you understand what I expect of you. I expect you to have adventures. I expect you to fall in love, to get your hearts broken. I expect you have to have sex with the wrong people, to have sex with the right people. To make mistakes, and make amends, take a leap, and make a splash. And I expect you to unleash holy hell on anybody that tries and hold you back.”
  56. I get it now. I’m going to scream at a subway station the next time I’m in NYC.
  57. I’m so glad everything worked out with Adena.
  58. Jane “I’m stalking you.” It happens.
  59. Of course her speech worked and the guy comes around.
  60. Remember to always be careful what you tweet. It’s always hard to know what’s going to work out and what’s going to backfire.
  61. She got a thumbs up on her first article and an awesome new mentor. I think I’m going to like this boss.
  62. I’d stay at work that late if I had awesome friends to hang out in a closet with…
