I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what my Instagram account has been missing, and I realized it’s very obvious…. Ice cream. As someone who is borderline obsessed with ice cream, and who really does eat it for dinner, I certainly don’t talk about it much. I realized it was time for me to bring a little more dessert into my blog and so my new concept “Ice Cream Sundays” was born.
My first adventure was actually not to an ice cream shop, but rather a gelato shop called Dolcetti Gelato. I was working with a new photographer and I let her know about my desire to take pictures in an ice cream shop, and she came up with this one. And boy was it a good choice. Not only is the shop adorable, but the gelato was delicious.
Something I worried about before the shoot was the shop wouldn’t allow us to take pictures. But the guy working was really nice and said it would be fine. We also went at the perfect time and there was no one else in the shop. The worker was kind enough to let me try a bunch of different samples to figure out which flavor I wanted. They were all so delicious, but in the end I chose the Pomegranate Stracciatella for the visual effect. (#bloggerproblems) I don’t eat gelato very often and I had forgotten how incredible it is. It was hard for me to wait and eat it until after we get all the images we needed!
After we ordered our gelato, I noticed they had a case of macaroons. This is another thing I rarely eat, but they were so cute and I decided to try one. This was a good choice. I don’t know the flavor, but the macaroon was pink and amazingly good! It also matched the pink pineapple on my t-shirt, which is always a plus.
I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed my trip to Dolcetti Gelato, but really a picture is worth a thousand words. I’m sure you can tell how amazing this shop is from the pictures. It is located at 901 E 900 S in Salt Lake City.
My pineapple t-shirt is from Groop Dealz. It is currently one of my biggest shopping obsessions right now because they have boutiques and brands I love at discounted prices! My photographer was Evelyn Cervantes and she did an amazing job! I’m looking to make “Ice Cream Sundays” a regular thing and plan to spend the next few months discovering all Utah has to offer. That is until my next trip to NYC!
